Settling-in Curriculum

Students may find the start of a new academic year to be a frightening experience, which is why our school has developed a Settling in curriculum to make sure that our students have a successful and seamless transition. The curriculum is created to give our students a secure setting that will help them feel at ease and in control in their new surroundings. During the transition phase that a student goes through while joining a new grade, teachers work closely with students to help them understand goals and expectations of this academic year, stress management, time management and the importance of teamwork. Fun activities such as word search, dance movement exercises, scavenger hunt and post-session resources are used in classrooms to make the learning fun.
