Exchange Program

DPS Dwarka Expressway hosted an exhilarating Cultural Exchange with AFS India, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to create unforgettable experiences.

AFS students from the USA joined our Grade 12 students for the period of 40 days, where they shared their unique experiences and insights, enriching our school community with a tapestry of diverse cultures. This interaction facilitated lively discussions on traditions, education, and global issues, fostering a sense of global citizenship and expanding everyone's horizons. It was a remarkable opportunity for all participants to learn, grow, and embrace the beauty of diversity.

The visiting students from the USA stayed with the families of DPS Dwarka Expressway students, who graciously hosted and cared for them. This immersive experience allowed the AFS students and students of DPS Dwarka Expressway to gain a profound understanding of diverse culture. The students from AFS attended Hindi lessons, learned classical Indian music, and danced to traditional Indian beats. Additionally, they celebrated Indian festivals with great enthusiasm, participating in the customs and rituals that make these occasions special.

During their 40-day stay, the AFS students had the chance to visit iconic landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, explore vibrant local markets, and enjoy popular Indian movies. These activities provided them with a comprehensive experience of Indian culture and daily life.

The Cultural Exchange was not only an educational endeavor but also a joyous celebration of cultural diversity and mutual learning. The vibrant exchange of knowledge, traditions, and experiences was a delight to witness and participate in. It was an entirely new experience for the students, offering them a unique and enriching way to learn about different cultures and build lasting friendships.
