This time structure gives us the opportunity to meet the challenge of creating a learning environment which provides enough stimuli to spark a sense of inquiry, exploration, expression, assimilation and recapitulation among children.

 

Circle Time

Circle Time is an international best practice that is integral to our curriculum. Circle Time is a great tool for the social and emotional development of children. It helps children develop key skills of; thinking, observing, concentrating, listening and speaking. It forms a very important part of the daily activity of the children. Our Circle Time activities are designed to engage all children in small group conversations and activities with reflection and sharing being an integral part.

 

Skill Time

The Skill Time activities give children the opportunity to explore, experiment, draw conclusions and apply the concepts learnt in other situations. This helps the children acquire skills which are applicable to their Theme Time. The skills of numeracy and language which help the child in thematic learning are addressed during Skill Time.

 

Theme Time

Theme Time focuses on the creative and analytical aptitudes of the child. Theme Time approaches learning in an integrated manner. This is attained by exploring the environment through the elements of music, art, theater which enhance the sensory and cognitive abilities of the child, making learning fun. Stories are often woven in, keeping in mind the concepts dealt on that day. This helps the children's imagination take flight while recapitulating the concepts so that the learning is concertized.
